Two groups of migrants from Central America traveled to the US consulate in Tijuana on Tuesday with a list of demands. One of them sent an ultimatum to the Trump administration: either leave them in the United States or pay 50,000 $ each to return home, according to the report. .
Other demands include stopping deportation and faster and more frequent treatment of asylum seekers, reports the Union Tribune in San Diego.
The first group of caravan members, about 100 migrants, came to the consulate around 11.00 am Alfonso Guerreo Ulloa, an organizer from Honduras, said $ 50,000 was selected as a group.
“You may think you have a lot of money,” Ulloa told the newspaper. “But that’s a small amount compared to anything the US stole in Honduras.”
He added that this money would allow migrants to go home and start a small business.
